Arsenal are ready to hijack Tottenham’s transfer move for Breel Embolo, according to the Daily Express.
The 18-year-old forward had a breakthrough season for FC Basel last campaign, scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances for the Swiss outfit.
And it appears Arsene Wenger has turned his attention to the teenager after missing out on Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema in the summer transfer window.
Considering Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud are the Gunners’ only recognised strikers, Wenger could be tempted to make a bid for the £10million-rated Embolo in January.
