That is according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, who say Louis van Gaal is keen on adding the pacy Brazilian to his ranks when the window reopens.

He could face competition from Liverpool and Arsenal, however, who are both keeping tabs on the player, per Le 10 Sport.

Moura is rated at around £21.5million.

On the lookout: Van Gaal is reportedly tracking the Dutch youngster

Louis van Gaal is closing in on a deal for Ajax youngster Juan Familia-Castillo, according to the Daily Mail.

The highly-rated 15-year-old has been closely watched by the Red Devils since starring for Holland's U15 against Belgium.

Van Gaal is apparently satisfied his compatriot has developed enough to warrant the confidence in taking him to Old Trafford.

The starlet can play centrally or on the left side of midfield, and is now skipper of the Dutch U16 team.

Midfield star Bastian Schweinsteiger is ready to rise to Louis van Gaal’s leadership challenge and spare Manchester United a humiliating Champions League exit, writes David McDonnell in Wolfsburg.

Although Van Gaal has written off United’s chances of winning the Champions League this season and senior figures at the club say their current priority is “80-20” in favour of the Premier League, Schweinsteiger believes the Reds can still make a mark on the tournament this term.

“I hope there are many more seasons to come with United and there’s still more to achieve in the competition,” said Schweinsteiger, ahead of the biggest game of Van Gaal’s 18-month tenure.

“I feel very good at the moment. We have experience in the team and we have young players with quality in the team. So, if we do our job well in the group, then I think we can achieve a lot.

“I want to win titles and I think United is also used to winning titles, so that is definitely my goal. But for those types of moments, we all have to work very hard together and always try to improve ourselves. Hopefully we will get there.”

Defiant: Van Gaal is confident United can find their scoring touch

Louis van Gaal says the goals will come for Manchester United – starting in Tuesday's must-win Champions League tie against Wolfsburg.

United go into the decisive clash on the back of Saturday's 0-0 draw at home to West Ham – their fifth stalemate in nine games.

But Van Gaal insisted United will get back among the goals and hailed tonight's Group B match as the most important of his time at Old Trafford.

“You never know for sure, but I have the experience as a manager to know the goals will come,” said Van Gaal.

“When you're creating chances you will start finishing them. We have that belief, it’s just a matter of time, and I hope we can prove that here."
