Sport: Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink says Arsene Wenger is the last of the super-managers.

GETTY Hiddink believes no manager will last as long as Wenger has at Arsenal

The Chelsea interim manager, speaking ahead of their crunch trip to the Emirates today, lavished great praise on the Frenchman, who celebrates 20 years in charge of the Gunners this September.

While a record 29 managers have been sacked across the top four English divisions between June 1 and December 31 last year, Wenger has consistently bucked that trend.

Arsene Wenger has hinted he could leave Arsenal, but only on his agenda. So here at Express Sport, we've rounded up our favourite pictures to show how much we love the Premier League's longest serving manager.

Hiddink, who has managed in seven countries over the past 29 years, said: “I think Arsene might be one of the last to sit on a chair that long. Maybe the instant result is required. I don’t know why.

"The clubs who maintain their philosophy and calmness, are not panicking after one or two defeats."

Wenger is still some way off Sir Alex Ferguson’s 26-year stint at Manchester United, but Hiddink added: “In the philosophy of a club, it’s always good to have men who are in a long period at the club.”

But there will still be rivalry on the touchline today.

Hiddink said: “Well, when the game starts there must be rivalry. It’s normal.”
