A disgraced Arsenal fan who was sacked from his job after defending a sexist football fan that was heckling a TV presenter has been given his old job back.
Shawn Simoes lost his six-figure salary position after he was caught on live television defending a Toronto FC who was yelling ‘f**k her right in the p***y’ at presenter Shauna Hunt outside the BMO field stadium.
Simoes told Hunt that she was lucky that she didn’t ‘get a vibrator in her ear’ and said the man’s behaviour was no worse than what supporters are like in England.
The man’s employer, Hydro One, released a statement at the time to say that they would not tolerate such behaviour from an employee out of respect for Hunt.

But, they’ve clearly had a rather sizeable change of heart as Global Newsnow claim that Simoes has been rehired after he made ‘extensive efforts to make amends for his conduct.’
