Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud was receiving an enormous amount of criticism at the start of the season, and perhaps fairly so, but the 29-year-old has since turned his form around.
The French striker has now scored seven goals in his last nine games for club and country and stats show that his partnership with Alexis Sanchez is absolutely crucial for the Gunners’ title chances this campaign.
Remarkably, Giroud and Sanchez have managed 58 goals between them since August 2014, more than duo from any other Premier League side.
If both attackers can stay fit for the majority of the season, the north London side surely have a huge chance of being crowned English champions for the first time since 2004.
