Caitlyn Jenner has admitted she could be sent to a men’s prison for her involvement in a fatal car crash in February.
Her vehicle collided with a Lexus whilst driving in Malibu and tragically, 69-year-old Kim Howe, the driver of the Lexus, was killed when she was hit by another vehicle head-on.
Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce before she underwent gender reassignment surgery, revealed her fears whilst speaking on the Today show in the US, admitting she could barely remember the details of the crash.
Speaking to presenter Matt Lauer she said the ‘worst case scenario’ would see her sent to a men’s prison for one year.

But she also revealed she is ‘looking into’ transgender women having to go to a male prison. ‘It’s an enormous problem that they would put trans-women in men’s county jail. But those are things we’re looking into,’ she added.
Speaking about the accident, she added: ‘I was under the speed limit. I was doing 46 in a 50 and my air bag didn’t even go off. All I needed was probably half a second. I almost got stopped but I couldn’t get it stopped – I was carrying a trailer.’

Prosecutors are currently deciding whether or not to charge Caitlyn for dangerous driving.
Her comments on the Today show follow reports last month suggesting she is unlikely to be charged for her involvement in the crash.
Instead, TMZ reported the crash is likely to be deemed a terrible accident rather than a criminal act because Caitlyn braked seconds before the collision, suggesting she was trying to avoid crashing into the Lexus.
Detective Richard Curry of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had said that Jenner was driving at ‘an unsafe speed for the road conditions’ on the day of the incident. Her SUV rear-ended a Lexus, shunting it into oncoming traffic.
Jenner did pass a sobriety test at the time of the crash and phone records show she wasn’t using a mobile phone at the time.
