Donald Trump took a night off from the campaign trail to attend the US Open on Tuesday with his wife Melania.
The presidential hopeful was on hand to watch the epic match-up between sisters Serena and Venus Williams followed by men's number one Novak Djokovic taking on Feliciano Lopez.
Despite a night of great tennis however, it was not all fun for Trump who arrived to the USTA Tennis Center in Queens to massive booing from the New York crowd.

Due to the fact that the day session ran long on Tuesday, the sold out crowd of 22,547 spectators was stuck waiting outside Arthur Ashe stadium before the night matches began, and the ESPN screens in the courtyard played some of the celebrity arrivals for the tennis fans.
Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Anna Wintour were just a few of the guests shown, drawing little to no reaction from the crowd.
When Trump and his wife were shown exiting their car however, thousands began to loudly the boo the real estate mogul.

It is not clear if Trump was able to hear the boos, but he seemed unfazed as he entered the stadium through the VIP entrance.
He did however hear the boos the second time the crowd saw him when he was put on the Jumbotron during a break in play.
Trump simply smiled and waved before giving a thumbs up.

Trump did not give any interviews while at the event, but was snapped getting a little shut-eye during the high-octane match between the Williams sisters.
He is back at work today with a visit to Washington DC this afternoon to protest President Obama's Iran deal.
Trump also released an open letter this morning to Jeff Zucker asking that CNN donate all profits from their upcoming debate to veterans.
