Senate Gives NNPC 24 Hours to Produce Documents on Subsidy Payments

The senate has given the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) 24 hours to produce all documents relating to payment of subsidy claims.

The senate committee on Petroleum Downstream handed down the ultimatum at an investigation hearing on petroleum scarcity bedevilling the country.

The committee chaired by Sen. Uche Ekwunife (PDP, Anambra) is currently meeting with officials of the petroleum ministry and the NNPC at the national assembly.
