Guess which Star Wars name was one of the most popular baby names in America?

It seems there are a lot of Jedi masters growing up in America right now as one name from Star Wars is among the most popular in the land.

According to an official list from the Social Security Administration, Anakin is within the top 1000 baby names in the US.

Last year, Anakin was the 957th most popular name among boys in the States with 218 newborns named after the former Jedi-turned-Sith lord.

Hopefully these little Anakins won’t turn to the dark side like their namesake.

Old Darth might be proud that his son’s name is far more popular, as Luke is 28th on the popularity list with 10,431 newborns given the name in 2014.

And his other child, Leia, has inspired 605 parents to call their newborns after the princess, making her 509th on the most popular girls list.

No doubt with the next movie coming out, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, we might see Poe, Rey, Kylo and Finn rising up the list.
