Nigeria: Senator Olamilekan Solomon Faults Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun's Plan To Approve NCC Budget

Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Communications, Senator Solomon Adeola, on Sunday faulted plans by the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, to approve the 2016 budgets of revenue generating agencies.

Governor Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Bayelsa supplementary governorship poll following official results collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), today, January 10.

Bayelsa election rerun was marred by violence yesterday. Snatching of ballot boxes and other election materials in the full glare view of the security agents. There are videos of soldiers forcefully snatching election materials in many areas the election took place. An eyewitness too these photos of already thumbprinted ballot papers scattered at a polling unit in Gbaramatu, Southern Ijaw Local Government area. It can be seen that the ballots belong to the PDP.
