Some kids in Otukpo, Benue state have reportedly rejected David Mark’s candidacy in the state’s election rerun by slapping and desecrating his posters before tearing them.
Mark’s campaign organization had in a recent statement, claimed that they apprehended a kid vandalizing his posters a fortnight ago.
But findings by Naij.com have revealed that some of the kids who were behind the incident said they were not sent by any political party or politician, rather they did it considering the fact that David Mark had overstayed his welcome in the senate.
One of the kids who led several others to carry out the said act, vented his anger when confronted by our reporter in Benue, saying that they were tired of seeing Mark’s face.
The youngster, simply identified as Adah, said: “Nobody sent us. We are not working for APC or any politician, we are tired of Mark. He is the former Senate President who wants to go back as an ordinary senator but we prefer a younger person who can help the Idoma people.”
Another boy, reportedly said: “I prefer the picture of the small boy, he will make our place look like Abuja,” while while another boy named Samuel noted that “We want someone who is younger and can understand us.”

The Door2Door campaign organization led by James Oche, continued pasting Mark’s posters on walls accompanied by thugs, irrespective of what was happening around.
The people who could not hide their frustration and disappointment over the development reported the matter to the police while the PDP campaign team, however promised to desist further from this act.
According to the APC zonal chairman, Benue south, Mohammed Murtala Alhassan, stated that there are plots by the opponent to use make the election volatile.
Efforts to reach Oche proved futile as his phones were switched off.
Meanwhile, Senator Mark has commended his people for standing by him for the 16 years he has been a senator and has pledged to deliver on his promises

The election of the former Senate president was annulled following charges of electoral irregularities brought by the candidate of the All progressives Congress in the Benue south election.
