[PHOTOS]: 'After an emotional two years this egg retrieval will be my last': Bianca Dye shares an update on her heartbreaking IVF journey

Sharing her journey: Bianca Dye took to Facebook to share the news she had undergone her last egg retrieval procedure

The radio and media personality has been upfront about her fertility issues

She struggled to conceive both naturally and through IVF

She recently announced doctors had performed their last egg retrieval

They harvested six 'mature' eggs that will hopefully survive being frozen

Bianca said she would not undergo another round of IVF just yet

By speaking openly her own fertility issues Bianca Dye has been a voice for all women who have struggled to conceive.

The radio host and media personality has been upfront and honest about her two-year IVF journey, going as far as to defend the fertility treatment against critics on behalf of herself and other women.

But on Wednesday Bianca, 42, said one chapter of what has been an emotional journey was drawing to a close, as doctors performed their last egg retrieval.

Staying strong: Bianca has been trying to conceive through IVF for the past two years in what has been an 'emotional' journey

'After an emotional 2 years of IVF (miscarriages/being told i need an operation to contain my endometriosis asap etc) my doc pretty much said this egg retrieval today will be my last [sic],' Bianca wrote on Facebook.

'So whatever eggies we get today (it aint a fun procedure!) get added to the 7 i have frozen (Plus our 2 little embryos) and thats it.

'Then we pop some suckers in & see what the universe has in store.'

The post was met with messages of support from her followers who have shared her IVF journey through social media.

'Thinking of you and wishing all the luck in the world. It will happen. You will be a fantastic mum,' said another.

Sense of humour: Despite pulling funny faced in her photos, undergoing IVF has been 'emotional' for Bianca

Bianca posted an update after the procedure and said doctors had successfully harvested six 'mature' eggs that would 'hopefully survive freezing' to be used for future IVF attempts.

She said despite undergoing the egg retrieval procedure, she would not be implanting any embryos 'back in yet'.

Bianca resigned from her role as a breakfast radio host on Illawara's i98FM in June this year.

Moving forward: Bianca left her role as a breakfast radio host on Illawara's i98FM in June this year to both focus on her IVF treatment and seek a career change

Her decision to leave after seven years in the hot seat was one she made to not just focus on her IVF treatment, but because she was ready for a career change.

‘I didn’t want to keep doing the radio show I was doing,’ she said.

‘I had outgrown it, it was time to move on.’

Making a change: The radio host said she had outgrown her role and it was time to move on

Bianca, who previously told Daily Mail Australia she had undergone five rounds of IVF treatment, has been honest about her struggle to conceive.

She has previously suffered two miscarriages, and was told by doctors she needed to undergo a laparoscopy operation to address her endometriosis.

‘It is very emotional,’ she previously told DMA.

A brave face: ‘The hard part is with what I do I like to be very authentic and honest ... and I have to put on a brave face and pretend everything is okay when it’s not'

Bianca said by sharing her story other couples going through the same process had reached out to her to share their own stories.

'My wife and I went through exactly what you are experiencing ... we were told we will never be able to have children. Guess what? We ended up with three awesome sons. Have faith,' one person said.
