I will get justice in court, ex-speaker boasts

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has rejected the request by the ex-speaker of the fourth assembly in the State, Hon. Adewale Omirin, for the reversal of the impeachment carried out by a faction of the immediate past Assembly against him.
The assembly had, in a reply dated November 9, 2015, to Omirin’s letter where he requested that his impeachment be reversed, said the requests, including the one that the tenure served by factional speaker Dele Olugbemi also be obliterated, are purely constitutional matters, which go beyond the purview of what the house could handle.
Omirin has, however, assured that he would get justice in the court of law, since the assembly turned down the request, adding that it could have been honourable for the lawmakers to accede to the request for posterity’s sake.
