Girl escapes death by seconds after being pulled from path of train

A girl was lucky to escape with her life when she was saved from being hit by a train with only moments to spare.

In the video, the girl is seen playing with a hula hoop alongside a friend at a train platform when the hoop falls onto the track.

But as the girl jumps down to retrieve the hoop, her life is put in increasing danger as a passenger train begins pulling into the station.

However, her saviour comes in the form of a woman who rushes to pull her off the tracks as she desperately attempts to clamber onto the platform.

The girl was only seconds from death

The footage of the incident has been released by Australian transport authorities in an attempt to warn of the dangers of trespassing on the railways – after 18 people were killed in New South Wales last year when they trespassed on the tracks.

And in footage of another incident, a man was seen taking a selfie on the train tracks.

Warning against the act, transport minister Andrew Constance said: ‘Stay off the tracks or face injury or death’.
