Ogun state Police command has ordered the redeployment of embattled DPO of Sagamu, CSP John Mark.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdulmajid Ali gave the order on Tuesday following the ongoing face off between the DPO and the people of Sagamu.
The DPO has been redeployed to the command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, the state capital.
The CP has also constituted a six-man committee led by DCP Finance and Administration and second in command, DCP Celestine Okoye to investigate the allegation of extortion and high handedness leveled against John Mark.
According to the Commissioner of Police, “the committee must x-ray all allegations leveled against the DPO and counter-allegations against some individuals in Sagamu including the Majority Leader of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Yinka Mafe”, the CP ordered.

The committee is expected to submit it’s report within one week.
Meanwhile, the Command had assured that justice will be served in the case, adding that, adequate protection of lives and property of the people of the State is guaranteed.
