It’s no surprise people kicked off when they saw a 65-year-old man take wedding pictures with a 12-year-old girl.

The set up was part of a social experiment to raise awareness that, in many places around the world, it is legal to marry kids of this age.

YouTube star Coby Persin, 21, claims it’s even legal in New York City, so he took to Times Square.

The legal age of marriage differs around the world and in some countries parental consent is changes the age.

In some US states the age is as low as 12 for girls and 14 for boys. In the UK it is 16.

The age is ten in Sudan under certain religions.

People immediately take action over the scene.

‘This is bulls***! This is not right!’ one man says. ‘And I’m sure if we called the cops, you would get locked up!’

Two men separate the pair and the girl is walked off.

When one person speaks up, a large crowd is formed and many try to ask the girl – who looks unhappy – if she is okay.
