Police have launched a new investigation in to a convicted rapist after more potential victims came forward on his Facebook page.

Bradley Trengove, 21, was described as ‘exceptionally dangerous’ after being found guilty of repeatedly raping a teenage girl and assaulting another.

The allegations came to light after Trengove posted a message on his Facebook page complaining that his name had been published in the press in relation to the case and he was having to clear his name.

Around 20 other women posted messages underneath the post claiming to have had disturbing experiences with him.

Detectives have confirmed they are investigating the allegations.

One woman claims to have been pinned down by Trengove while he attempted to kiss her, but said she managed to escape and run off.

She wrote: ‘He used to turn up outside my house and ring me begging me to come out and when I did he said he was gonna drive off with me in his car so I got out and he chased me up the road.

‘At that moment I realised he wasn’t right in the head.’

Another woman wrote: ‘This has gone on for years and it’s several women who have had something happen with him. I know what he is like.’

A man wrote: ‘[He] tried chatting my sister up on Facebook not long ago asking [to] meet and all. She’s 14 years old and he knew that.’

Other women posted screen-shots purporting to be from private messages between themselves and Trengove.

Trengove was convicted at Truro Crown Court last week of the repeated rape of a girl aged just 14 and 15 and subjecting her to violence, threats and abuse.

He was found guilty of four counts of rape, two of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, one of sexual assault and one of stalking.

The victim, who is now an adult, said: ‘I am glad that he is put away and cannot do the same to anyone else.

‘I can try to live my life now without always looking over my shoulder, without worrying if I met him out somewhere what he would do to me.’

Trengove is due to be sentenced next month.
