Reverend Colin Fry has died at the age of 53.

The TV medium known for his appearances in Most Haunted, Psychic Private Eyes and 6ixth Sense With Colin Fry, was suffering from terminal lung cancer.

Fry’s death was announced by his management on his website on Tuesday 25th August:

It is with much sadness and regret to announce that the Reverend Colin Fry, Britain’s most loved and respected Spiritualist Medium, lost his fight against cancer and passed away peacefully in hospital in the early hours at 2:50am this morning.

Colin brought a lot of comfort to his audiences in a career which spanned for more than 30 years. Our sympathies and condolences go out to Colin’s family and friends.

We, as his management, for many years would like to add that he was the most charming man with the biggest heart, who devoted his life to helping others, and he will be sorely missed.

May his dear soul rest in peace.

Colin had to cancel his The 6ixth Sense Anniversary Tour earlier this year upon learning of his terminal diagnosis.

At the time he said: ‘It is bad news for me personally. But it has made me even more determined to carry on. It gives me a chance to say goodbye to my fans, who have been so loyal to me over the years.

‘It has been a privilege to be allowed to perform my skills on a national stage and television. I have never taken that for granted and I would like to give something back and say, thank you for having me. It has been a real pleasure’.’

As well as contributing to Living TV’s Most Haunted, Colin also appeared on the Zone Reality channel’s Psychic Private Eyes with fellow psychics Tracy Higgs and Tony Stockwell, and was known to be an LGBT activist.
