Itoku Shopping Complex in Abeokuta allegedly owned by the state governor, Ibikunle Amosun collapsed today with many feared dead and other workers trapped inside. Four workers were earlier rescued by the bystanders before the arrival of the police who started shooting into the air in other to disperse the crowd.

The contractor is also rumoured to be the famous Iyalode of Egbaland, Chief Mrs Alaba Lawson. A good friend of the Amosuns.
The Governor was seen at the site few hours after the incident, directing the rescue operation.
Details of the accident is still sketchy as at the time of this report.
