One of children’s television’s most loved antagonists is on course to marry a fan 59 whole years younger than him.
Jimmy Patton starred alongside his younger brothers brothers Paul and Barry Chuckle – nee Elliot – in seminal kids hit Chucklevision.
He typically played the boss or straight man to the Bros. and was renowned for his catchphrase ‘and remember…no slacking’.

Now the 84 year old Rotherham man has found love in his latter days, with a 25 year old Chucklevision fan he met on Facebook.
The two began courting one another after his now fiancée Amy Philips commented on one of his posts.
Patton, whose wife Valerie died 5 years ago, said ‘It just went from there. I never thought I would find this kind of love again.’
The octogenarian kept with tradition and even asked Amy’s dad for permission.
Certainly no slacking.
Chucklevision appears to be full of post-retirement surprises. Paul and Barry Chuckle unexpectedly came out of the panto doldrums last year to record an out-of-the-blue single with Tinchy Stryder, surprising just about everyone in the UK as a result.
