The Code of Conduct Tribunal today stood down Senator Saraki's case due to the absence of the prosecuting lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs. He was said to be attending another case at the appeal court this morning while the CCT case was supposed to be on.
As contained in the law, a convicted offender would be liable to life imprisonment if the victim is released or rescued unhurt upon the payment of a ransom while the kidnapper would be compelled to pay back the ransom.
After the news broke out that Governor Fayose of Ekiti went to China and even wrote the Chinese government not to grant President Buhari any loan because he has already recovered looted funds running into billions of dollars, therefore Nigeria can afford not to borrow to finance her budget.
