Asalam Alekum Your Excellency Asiwaju.
I read with mixed emotions your press release regarding the conduct of the APC National Chairman, and also your comments while receiving a segment of the APC chieftains from the South West in your house.
You said you regretted giving Buhari the party platform to become President. I am surprised that it took you three years to realise your mistakes - from July 2013 when APC was officially registered to-date. If you and Chief Bisi Akande had listened to some of us your regrets would have been totally avoided.
I sat with you and Akande each separately for at least two hours to explain what we know of Buhari and Kwankwaso but we were ignored by both of you. You forgot that one's honour and integrity is more important than winning any election or being associated with any govt. Interestingly, it is for the protection of the same personal honour and integrity which you are now fighting to save for yourself that compelled some of us to leave the APC against our wish.
I am happy that today we are being vindicated.
What you have today as APC is certainly NOT what the 89 of us (Merger Committee Members) spent seven months to produce. Similarly, what you have today as Fed Govt under Buhari is certainly NOT what the merger was intended to produce. But now that you have your thinking caps on, please think more and plan better for yourself and for Nigeria.
I pray Allah guide you the more.
Best regards.
