Happening Now!!! EFCC surrounds Femi Fani-Kayode's house

EFCC invitation letter

Former PDP Presidential campaign media director, Chief Femi Fani Kayode shared the image above on his Facebook and wrote:

"Today the EFCC invited me to to come their office on monday. I have their letter. I agreed to be there. Now they have surrounded my house.

The letter of invitation was served this morning and it was dated 6th May. They said I should report on the 9th.

Can someone pl tell me why they are at my gate? They can't even wait because they want to detain me so badly and keep me away for the weekend.

I never refused their invitation. Why all this? I leave them to God".

Fani-Kayode is an outspoken critic of President Buhari and members of his party, APC. He has been accused of sharing in the controversial $2.1billion arms deal money that has been the hallmark of the present government's fight to recover all looted funds by the last government functionaries.

Fani Kayode claimed ignorance of the source of the money expended by his office during the last Presidential campaign. He denied the knowledge of the money his office got came from the former NSA, Sambo Dasuki, who himself remained under a house arrest on the same crime. He received the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC's invitation this morning and without an opportunity to reply their letter, his house is now surrounded by the anti-graft agency.

Many members of the opposition are standing trial over what they got in prosecuting the election. They have all claimed the government is only persecuting them and not fighting corruption.
