The ex-Tottenham star was said to have had 'a blip' as distressing images emerged of him with cuts to his face, clutching a bottle of gin and being accompanied by a police officer.
The 48-year-old, who has battled alcoholism for many years, is now on the mend after smashing his forehead, nose and lip while drunk.
