#IAmNotACriminal: Nigerians reacts on Twitter; Sen. Ben Bruce and Rotimi Amaechi slagged each other too...

President Buhari is quoted to have said "Nigerians' reputation for crime has made them unwelcome in Britain."

"Some Nigerians claim is that life is too difficult back home, but they have also made it difficult for Europeans and Americans to accept them because of the number of Nigerians in prisons all over the world accused of drug trafficking or human trafficking," he told The Telegraph.

"I don't think Nigerians have anybody to blame. They can remain at home, where their services are required to rebuild the country."

This has generated so much arguments among Nigerians all over the world. Many believed Buhari as a President should not be seen demarketing Nigeria or generalising Nigerians as criminals in foreign land.

Twitter was agog late last night when the news of the President's gaffe from his vacation based in London hit the media. One of the prominent Nigerians who took the President up on his statement is Senator Ben Murray-Bruce. A senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district.

Bruce, took to Twitter to reprimand the president from demarketing the hardworking Nigerians in his globetrotting mission since he came to power.

First salvo
Second Punch

Not long after, a follower replied Bruce, "is he lying? Stop grandstanding sir", he quipped.

Sen. Bruce immediately responded, in a "common sense" style of his; "If you agreed to be a criminal, who am I to disagree?..."

While taking jibes from other PMB supporters, the Senator kept dishing out facts, in his tweets, why Buhari should look inward, right under his nose, the rotten hands of his fellow corruption fighters.

Sen. Bruce slagged the President here when the President laments of his frustration on the state of the Nigerian economy. "Soroniyen"

Bruce wants Buhari to identify the criminals in his government, before generalising all Nigerians as criminals.

Rotimi Amaechi took to Twitter as well to attack Bruce for being a coward after accusing a Buhari Minister who hosted a birthday party for a prominent Nigerian with N82million Naira.

Amaechi was the governor of Rivers state whose successor Nyesom Wike accused of hosting Prof Wole Soyinka in a lavish birthday party that cost the state a whooping sum of N82million. Amaechi says he won't respond to innuendos from Bruce.

Amaechi called Bruce a "coward" for failing to name the minister he was referring to in his tweet.

Senator Ben Bruce's reply to Amaechi:

"When you Wike'd, you become wicked!". The senator is referring to the political neutralisation of Amaechi in Rivers state by Nyesom Wike, after so much effort to install his political son, Peterside, as the governor. In what has now become a local slang in Nigerian cyberspace; "Don't be Wike'fied" lol...

Omojuwa too was not spared in the row. He threw the first punch and Bruce took it in with a Hilarious response:
