If information reaching the Nigeria Politics Online is anything to go by, then embattled Ogun state blogger, Emmaneul Ojo must have been in for it again as he has been reportedly re-arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force.
Ojo was arrested on September 28 for a story exposing the alleged quizzing of Ogun State first lady, Mrs Olufunso Amosun, in London for money laundering.
Ojo after been trailed was arrested and detained at Ibara Police Station, Abeokuta for wrongly accusing Mrs. Amosun.
The wife of the governor although denied being involved in any money laundering saga.
Ojo who was later released on bail conditions went ahead to sue the Ogun state police command and Katib Biliamin, the chief security officer to Governor Ibikunle Amosun, over his arrest and detention.
Ojo demanded N150 million in damages and asked them to tender an apology in two national newspapers for his unlawful detention.
In a notice filed in the Federal High Court, Abeokuta Division, by his lawyer, the blogger asked the court for “an order of perpetual injunction restraining the respondents from arresting and or detaining him solely on account of alleged publication against Mrs Amosun.”
Sf Ojo Emmanuel according to information at our disposal was re-arrested earlier today after court session and has been taken to Police Headquarters, Eleweran Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The CSO to Governor Amosun was said to have led the Security Men that picked him up at the court entrance, Isabo Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Earlier this morning, Ojo had made an open apology to the governor stating that that he had never intend to desecrate their positions of authority and as such create any public uproar.
According to his post. ‘For clarity purpose, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his wife are like father and mother to the whole people of Ogun state including my humble self.
‘There might have been some issues in recent past but this doesn’t mean there is something wrong between us. I respect them for whom they are and I will never do anything that will desecrate their positions of authority. I am sorry for any perceived wrong doing of mine in the past. Such weren’t done in an attempt to create any public uproar or rancour.
I sincerely appreciate concerned individuals for their show of love and support.
