At least 13 people have been injured in a head-on collision.

A double-decker and single-decker were involved in the smash, which left both drivers trapped in their vehicles.

Emergency services attended the scene in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

Both bus drivers were cut out of their vehicles and around 12 passengers were treated as ‘walking wounded’.

Karl Mills, 27, told the local press: ‘It was a head-on collision.

‘There was a lady sat down on the pavement with a pushchair and blood on her face.’

He added: ‘It wasn’t a nice sight. They were cutting into the double-decker to free the driver.’

Roads in the area have been closed temporarily.
