Manchester United’s transfer move for Pedro Rodriguez has reportedly hit a standstill as they haggle with Barcelona over a measly £3.6million.

The Red Devils were set to push through a move for the Spanish World Cup winner on Tuesday but there are fears that it will now be delayed.

Barcelona are frustrated that £3.6m of the deal has been offered in add-ons rather than as a full cash amount.

United have currently offered £17.8m in cash with the add-ons but Barcelona want the full £21.4m up front.

The Catalan giants are frustrated that United have the money to complete the deal having sold Angel di Maria but are haggling over such a small price.

They are particularly annoyed as United continue to offer such large sums of money for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, according to Sport.

Nonetheless, a deal is still expected to be completed.
